A hybrid of H. 'Atom Smasher' × H. plantaginea, this is a non-registered cultivar from Ron Livingston of Michigan. The plant grows into a medium size hosta about 16 inches high with a spread of 43 inches. Its shiny, bright green foliage is slightly rippled. Pale purple flowers bloom in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...flowers of 'Atomic Mama' remain closed, yet readily form seed pods."
