Hosta 'Avocado Toast'

Registered by Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina  in 2020, this small size (10 inches high by 22 inches wide) cultivar is a sport of H. 'Lemon Snap'. It is a dark green hosta with yellow marginal variegation and beet red petiole color which extends to the midrib at the center of the leaf. The foliage is slightly corrugated, moderately cupped, broadly ovate and slightly shiny on top. Pale purple flowers bloom from mid-July into August on very dark purple scapes about 30 inches tall.

The registration materials state: "...Uniquely colored green leaves with wide yellow margins are cupped and puckered. Rich purple flowers and deep purple scapes...margins become greenish yellow in summer."
