Hosta 'BEAuty from Poland'

Registered by Robert Gabarkeiwicz of Bea Ornamental Nursery in Poland in 2016, this small size (9 inches high by 17 inches wide) cultivar is a sport of H. 'Fragrant Blue'. It is an intensely blue-green hosta with creamy white medial (center) variegation. The leaves are flat, ovate with petioles the same color as the leaf blades. Its pale lavender, striped flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to about 18 inches in height.

The registration materials state: "Exhibits unique combination of light creamy/near white leaf center with powdery blue-green irregular margins which jet inward & are apparent when plant emerges. Also has very decorative bracts, fragrant flowers and white seed pods...Blue-green color lasts well into autumn. Margins get greener & creamy center gets whiter later."

Yes, that is the correct spelling with the first three letters capitalized. It is named for his wife, Beata and their business, Bea Ornamental Nursery in Poland.
