Hosta 'Banana Muffins'

Jim Schwarz of Jim's Hostas of Iowa (now owned by Uniquely Hostas of Wisconsin) registered this seedling of unidentified parentage in 1996. It forms a medium size plant about 16 inches high with a spread of 32 inches. The medium gold colored foliage is moderately corrugated and wavy. In July, it bears medium lavender flowers on purplish scapes.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Because of its dense, symmetrical mound habit and round, gold foliage, this plant gives the impression of being "a basket of golden muffins".
