Hosta 'Batik'

Originated by Lee Couture of Maine, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a small size hosta with dark green foliage and prominent creamy yellow veins. On some plants there are horizontal streaks of the yellowish color across the veins. The leave are held in an upright form with wide petioles. In the spring, the bullets are violet in color before the leaves expand.

Batik is a technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to the whole cloth.
