This seedling selection is a non-registered plant from Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan. It grows into a medium size hosta about 12 inches in height with a spread around 33 inches. The purple flowers bloom in late July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "There may be some confusion surrounding this plant. The specimen in Van Wade's collection appears to be the same as 'Satin Bloomers'."
