Hosta 'Black and Blue'

Originated by Dr. Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict of Michigan and registered on their behalf by Rod Kuenster in 2010, this cultivar is of unidentified parentage.

It is a small size hosta about 10 inches high by 16 inches wide with dark green to light blue-green foliage. The lanceolate leaves are slightly wavy, slightly corrugated and slightly shiny on top. The flowers bloom from June into July but the seed set is unknown.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this is a Tardiana-type hosta.
