Hosta 'Blackhawk'

 

Registered by Bob & G. Fox of Fox Hosta Farm of Indiana in 2019, this upright growing, giant size (32 inches high by 69 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It has dark green foliage with rippled margins. The leaves are broadly ovate, moderately twisted, moderately wavy and slightly folded. Pale lavender flowers with light lavender stripes bloom from June into July on scapes 38 to 44 inches tall followed by viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Large, dark, slightly shiny leaves that fold, twist and wave, with very deep veins."
