Hosta 'Blue Skies'

This is one of the H. 'Tardiana' Group introductions by the English hybridizer, Eric Smith. It was registered by the British Hosta and Hemerocallis Society (BHHS) on behalf of Smith in 1988. The small sized (9 inches high) mound has leaves that are slightly blue-green. The lavender, bell-shaped flowers are borne on a 16 inch scape.

Similar cultivars include H. 'Eric Smith'.

Sports include H. 'Green Skies', H. 'Emerald Skies' and H. 'Exotic Blue Skies'.

Seedlings include H. 'Kiwi Blue Sky'.
