Hosta 'Blue for You'

A 1991 AHS registrant by Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict, this cultivar is a self-pollinated seedling (i.e. selfed) of H. 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa'. The 16 inch tall mound of heavily corrugated leaves spreads out to over 40 inches in width. It bears near white flowers in late June.

Similar cultivars include H. 'Blue Horizon' and H. 'Tokudama'.

These 2010 photos come from the Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict Hosta Hillside, tours and vendors at the 2010 American Hosta Society National Convention in Minnesota, Wade and Gatton Nursery and Arboretum, Toledo Botanical Garden and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
