Hosta 'Bohemia Ripple Blue Effect'

Registered by Vladimir Mirka of the Czech Republic in 2016, this small size (7 inches high by 19 inches wide) cultivar is a sport of H. 'Ripple Effect'. It has blue-green foliage with a greenish yellow medial (center) variegation. The leaves are heavily rippled, glaucous on top, moderately twisted, folded and intensely wavy. Pale lavender, tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes about 8 inches tall.

The registration materials state: "Differs from its parent in that it has wide, two-tone (intensely blue-green & green) margins that frequently jet towards the center. Needs some sun for a bright yellow center. Very thick leaves, sun tolerant & slug resistant...greenish-yellow center changes to yellow, margins maintain their blue-green color all season.
