Hosta 'Breathless'

This cultivar from Ran Lydell of Cooks Nursery and Eagle Bay Gardens in New York is an open-pollinated seedling of the species, H. tibae which was registered by Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) on Ran's behalf in 2009. It grows into a medium size (12 inches high by 36 inches wide) hosta with blue-green foliage. Its leaves are slightly rippled, ovate and dull on top. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July and it sets viable seeds. The foliage becomes greener as the season progresses.
