Hosta 'Brief Encounter'
 

Registered by Dr. Dick and Jane Ward of Ohio in 2009, this cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Pin Stripe Sister'. It is a large size hosta about 21 inches high by 33 inches wide with medium green foliage that has a creamy white marginal variegation. The leaves are moderately corrugated, nearly round, slightly rippled and dull on top. Its tubular flowers bloom from June into July on scapes about 29 inches tall.
