Hosta 'Bright Feather'

Registered by Jim Schwarz of Jim's Hostas of Iowa (now owned by Uniquely Hostas of Wisconsin) in 2011, this cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a large size (20 inches high by 40 inches wide) hosta with yellow foliage with a creamy "feathery" marginal variegation. The yellow center becomes more green as the season progresses. Its leaves are broadly ovate, slightly wavy and dull on top. Lavender, striped flowers bloom from June into July on scapes about 32 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...starts as gold, turns light green then feathers to a wide, uneven, creamy border...starts as gold, turns light green then feathers to a wide, uneven, creamy border..."
