Hosta 'Buffalo Grassland Berries'

Dana Zubrik and Milan Zubrikof Záhradníctvo Hosta in the Slovak Republic registered this fast growing, upright hosta in 2022.  This medium size (16 inches high by 18 inches wide) cultivar is an open-pollinated seedling of H. From late August into September, medium lavender flowers bloom on burgundy red scapes about 27 inches tall. The viability of the seed was not known at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "Green heart-shaped leaves on erect, distinctly red contrasting stems.   Deep red color extends into the leaf.  Late summer lavender blooms on burgundy red scapes. ...."
