Hosta 'Buffalo Grassland Lightning'

Dana Zubrik and Milan Zubrik of Záhradníctvo Hosta in the Slovak Republic registered this upright growing hosta of unidentified parentage in 2022. It is a medium size hosta about 16 inches high by 16 inches in width with slightly blue-green foliage. The lanceolate leaves are slightly twisted and moderately wavy with red speckled petioles. Pale lavender flowers bloom from August into September on scapes about 20 inches tall but it does not set seed.

The registration materials state: "Narrow, wavy & twisted leaves end in a sharp tip.  Petioles have red speckles and leaves have white backs.  Forms an upright, dense clump with compact, light lavender blooms late in the summer...turns medium green later in the spring..."
