Hosta 'Buffalo Snow'

Registered by John J. Smead of Quest Creek in New York in 2018, this cultivar is a small to medium size (11 inches tall by 26 inches wide) seedling of H. 'Undulata'. The "misty" green foliage has speckling that carries down the margins of the petioles. Its leaves are mostly flat, ovate and slightly shiny on top. Pure white flowers bloom in July followed by viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Mostly white with green speckles in spring, gaining more misty speckles throughout the season. Vigorous...unopen buds have very slight lavender blush that disappears upon opening...Viridescent - more green speckles as season progresses."
