Hosta 'Bukouhenge'

Originated in Japan, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage but has H. longipes in its background. It forms a small size plant  whose foliage has thick substance and is variegated in the spring but turns all green by midsummer. Flowers bloom in September on branched scapes.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "The flowers...sometime bear double sets of petals."
