Peter Ruh
registered this cultivar on behalf of Carl Calderara in 1991. It
has an "Hosta nakaiana
background" according to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis
(2009). It forms a small (10 inches high) mound with slightly cupped
leaves and pale lavender flowers in late June to July.
According to
The Hosta Handbook by
Mark Zilis (2000), this cultivar is one of many that have the "...'Blue
Cadet' look (dense, rounded mound of heart shaped, bluish green
foliage topped by dense clusters of lavender flowers in July)."
