Hosta 'Cassandra'

This hybrid of H. 'Wagner's Petite' (as 'Petite') x H. 'Piedmont Gold' was registered by Wally Wagner of Oregon in 1985. The small size plant measures about 12 inches in height with a width of 30 inches. New leaves in the spring are gold colored but they turn green as the summer progresses. It bears funnel shaped, purple flowers in July.

Cassandra also known as Alexandra or Kassandra, was a daughter of King Priam and of Queen Hecuba of Troy.
