Hosta 'Catherine the Great'

Registered by Randy Goodwin of Indiana in 2019, this slow growing, medium size (12 inches high by 24 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage although it has H. 'Reflections' in its background. The foliage is light lime green to pale yellow with wide creamy white marginal variegation. Its leaves are very shiny on top, broadly ovate, moderately folded, moderately wavy and slightly twisted. Pale lavender flowers bloom from late July into August on reddish turning green scapes 20 to 30 inches tall. It does not set seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Glossy, thick substance with an unusual light lime-green color that changes to an odd light yellow color later."
