Hosta 'Cathy Late'

According to The Genus HOSTA by W. George Schmid (1991), this is a sport of H. 'Lancifolia' from Peter Ruh of Ohio around 1985. It is a small size hosta  (10 inches high by 14 inches wide) with lanceolate, green foliage. Medium lavender flowers with purple stripes bloom in August and do not set seed. It blooms 1 to 3 weeks later than the mother plant.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), This is a duplicate, incorrect or outdated name for H. 'Lancifolia'.

"Plant is a later (1-3 weeks) blooming clone of H. 'Lancifolia'...not H. 'Tardiflora'..."
