Hosta 'Cheese Cake'

A sport of H. 'Vera Verde' this non-registered cultivar was introduced by Paul Aden. Purple flowers open in August on the 3 inch tall mound.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "I have known about 'Cheesecake' since 1983, but have only viewed it a few times. Schmid (1991, p. 146) described it as an unstable cultivar and that may be the reason for its rarity."

Similar cultivars include H. 'Little White Lines'.
