Hosta 'Clean Green'

Registered by Madelon Gilligan of New Zealand in 2017, this medium size (12 inches high by 30 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Brant Rock Jetty'. The bright, light green leaves are broadly ovate, heavily corrugated and very shiny on top. White flowers with very pale lavender striping bloom from mid-July into August on scapes about 20 inches tall. It sets viable seed.

The registration materials state: "...seeds obtained from Rick Goodenough of Massachusetts...Nice combination of bright green color (like Granny Smith apple) and heavy corrugation...Stays a brilliant light green all season."
