Hosta 'Coach Millboy Miller'

Registered by Franc Freeman of Iowa in 2012, this cultivar is of unidentified parentage. The medium size hosta grows to about 15 inches in height with a spread of around 20 inches. Its dark green foliage has yellow, white and green streaked variegation. The leaves are lightly cupped, slightly corrugated, nearly round and very shiny on top.

Pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August. It sets seeds but their viability was unknown at the time of registration.

Miller was an NCAA All-American wrestler from Northern Iowa and later a highly successful wrestling coach at Wartburg College in nearby Waverly, Iowa.
