Hosta 'Combined Elegance'

Registered by Charles Kwick of Wisconsin in 2019, this medium size (18 inches high by 42 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Sagae' × H. 'Sea Gulf Stream'. The golden-yellow leaves are heavily ruffled at the margins, slightly shiny on top. They are broadly ovate in shape, slightly folded and slightly corrugated. Pale lavender flowers bloom from July into August on scapes 30 to 40 inches tall. It bears seeds but their viability was not known at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...Large mound of gold, ruffled leaves, deep veins and small leafy bracts...somewhat more yellow as season progresses."
