Originated by Jim Schwarz of Jim's Hostas of Iowa (now owned by Uniquely Hostas of Wisconsin), this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. 'First Mate'. It is a small to medium  size hosta with shiny green foliage. The leaves are narrow, upright, slightly rippled and come to a distinct point at the tip. It produces pale purple flowers from late July into August.
