Hosta 'Corona'

This is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the same name. Neither are currently registered with The American Hosta Society. The first one to be registered would become the "official" hosta of that name and the others would have to be renamed.

This fast growing sport of H. 'Sum and Substance' was originated by Gaby Braun-Nauerz of Germany and registered by Piet Warmerdam of the Netherlands. It produces a giant size (31 inches high by 61 inches wide) mound of chartreuse colored foliage that has a yellow marginal variegation. Pale lavender, bell-shape flowers bloom from July into August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), a sport of H. 'Little Aurora' bore the same name and its chartreuse leaves with golden-yellow marginal variegation were on display at the 1996 AHS leaf show. The originator is unknown.
