Hosta 'Costume Change'

Originated by Charles Kwick of Wisconsin, this cultivar was registered in 2021 as an open pollinated seedling of H. 'Carol'. It is a miniature to small size (7 inches high by 28 inches wide) hosta with dark green foliage. The ovate leaves are slightly folded and slightly shiny on top. It bears purple, tubular shape flowers from July into August and sets seeds whose viability was unknown at the time of registration.

According to the Registration materials: "This fast growing rhizomatous, viridescent cultivar emerges cream colored and gradually changes to light green then dark green, and has purple striped flowers...emerges cream then gradually changes to dark green..."
