This cultivar is a hybrid of an unnamed H. 'Breeder's Choice' F₁ seedling x an unnamed seedling of (H. nakaiana x H. 'Kii Hime'). It was registered by Wm Zumbar of Ohio in 1995. The plant grows into a small size hosta about 10 inches high and 24 inches wide with smooth textured leaves of average substance. Purple flowers bloom from late June into July.
