Hosta 'Country River Rapids'
 

 

Registered by Don Dean of Minnesota in 2020, this medium size (17 inches high by 32 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of (H. 'Swoosh' seedling × H. 'High Kicker') × H. 'Astral Bliss'. The leaves are medium blue-green with a yellow marginal variegation. They are broadly ovate, slightly twisted, slightly folded, moderately corrugated, deeply wavy and have downward curling tips. Pale lavender flowers with medium lavender stripes and pale lavender margins bloom from August into September on scapes about 24 inches tall. It sets seeds but their viability was unknown at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...Wavy blue green leaves with variable width margins.  Blue holds late into the season...margins fade to pale yellow over the season."
