Hosta 'Crinkles'

Registered by Randy Goodwin of Indiana in 2009, this slow growing cultivar is an open-pollinated seedling of H. 'Fantastic'. It is a large size hosta about 20 inches high by 48 inches wide with greenish yellow foliage. The nearly round leaves are moderately cupped, heavily twisted, intensely folded, moderately wavy and heavily corrugated with an unruly nature. Pure white flowers bloom from June into July on scapes 24 to 30 inches tall followed by viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "...extreme crinkling in the blade, creating little or no symmetry from one leaf to another...yellow intensifies as season progresses."
