Originated by Rod Lysne of Northern Grown Perennials in Wisconsin, this non-registered cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Blue Ox' × H. 'Abiqua Drinking Gourd'. It is a large size hosta (34" wide) with nearly round, blue-green foliage. The leaves are moderately cupped, heavily corrugated and broadly ovate with heavy substance.

There is also a cultivar named 'Summa Cum Laude' by Rod Lysne.
