This large size (20
inches high by 36 inches wide) cultivar is a sport of H. 'Sunlight
Sister' which is a non-registered hosta from
Mildred Seaver of Massachusetts. It has light green foliage with
yellow marginal variegation. The leaves are ovate and
have thick substance. Near white flowers bloom from late
June into July.
We
don't know for sure, but this could be a play on the name of
"Dandy Don" Meredith who was one of the original announcers on
Monday Night Football back in the 1970s.
