Hosta 'Devon Blue'

This Tardiana-type seedling of unidentified parentage is from Eric Smith of England . It was named and registered by Roger and Ann Bowden of Devon, England on Smith's behalf in 1988. The medium size plant grows to about 13 inches in height with a spread of 34 inches. Its leaves are slightly wavy and have thick substance. Very pale lavender flowers bloom from July into August on scapes up to 30 inches tall followed by viable seeds.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "H. 'Halcyon' is smaller and has a better defined leaf shape."
