Roger and Ann Bowden
of Devon, England, this medium size (12 inches high by 24
inches wide), non-registered
cultivar is a sport of H. 'Invincible'.
It has shiny green leaves that have a yellow medial
(center) variegation in the spring. Fragrant dark
lavender flowers bloom in July.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Moderate to rapid growth rate. Easy to grow.
Useful for breeding somewhat sun-tolerant hostas...The
variegation has a shadowy, muted effect."
