Hosta 'Distinction'

This cultivar was registered by Eunice V. Fisher of Wisconsin in 1998 as a seedling of H. 'Zager's Sieboldiana Gigantea'. The large size (26 inches high) mound has slightly corrugated leaves with good substance. Whitish flowers bloom from late June into July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Very few specimens of 'Distinction' still exist."

"Plant is a Zager H. montana hybrid incorrectly attributed to H. sieboldiana var. gigantea. Large montana form with white flowers."
