Hosta 'Dorothy Rules'

Originated by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a large size hosta which grows to about 19 inches high by 38 inches wide. The foliage is blue-green with streaks of light green, yellow and creamy white. Some leaves are dark green with a yellow medial (center) variegation. Its leaf blades are heavily corrugated, very broadly ovate and convexly (downward) cupped with thick substance. Flowers bloom from mid-June into July on scapes up to 22 inches tall followed by seed pods.
