Originated by Dan Wols of Illinois, this non-registered cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Marilyn Monroe' × (H. 'Neptune' × H. 'Designer Genes'). A medium size hosta, 'Effervescence' grows to about 12 inches in height by 20 inches in width. The long, heart-shaped leaves are bright yellow in color and have ruffled margins.
