Hosta 'Eggs Benedict'

This hybrid of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' × H. 'Incredible Hunk' was registered by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan in 2001. The foliage is highly variable in color with green leaves that are heavily streaked and mottled with yellow, creamy white and green. It grows into a large size hosta about 20 inches in height and 48 inches in width. The leaves are deeply lobed, heavily corrugated and moderately unruly. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...has the potential to be a great breeding plant as it is no doubt capable of yielding variegated seedlings of good substance. It also has a tendency to sport to the yellow-centered, green-margined stable chimera."
