Hosta 'Estelle Aden'

This hybrid of H. 'Golden Waffles' × H. 'Gold Cup' was registered by Paul Aden of New York in 1978. The plant grows into a medium size hosta about 16 inches high with a spread of 42 inches. Its bright gold foliage is heavily corrugated, slightly cupped and has thick substance. Pale lavender flowers are produced from late June into July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...can be thought of as a large 'Tokudama' or small H. 'Sieboldiana'-type. It has bright gold foliage color, intense corrugation, and excellent substance. Use it in combination with blue-leaved hostas to create an interesting color contrast."
