Hosta 'Fireball'

 

This is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the same name. Neither are currently registered with The American Hosta Society. The first one to be registered would become the "official" hosta of that name and the others would have to be renamed.

 

There is an image of this cultivar on the Hosta Library. From the photos, it appears to be a large size hosta with green foliage and creamy white streaked variegation. It is a sport of H. 'Harry van de Laar' and has red petioles. This non-registered cultivar was originated by Marco and Joyce Fransen of Fransen Hostas in the Netherlands

There is an image of this cultivar on the Hosta Library. From the photos, it appears to be a small size hosta with shiny green foliage. This non-registered cultivar of unidentified parentage was originated by Alex Malloy of New York.
