Hosta 'Firefighter's Angel'

Registered by Suzzane Xavier-Sakr of Massachusetts in 2002, this slow growing, medium size (12 inches high by 18 inches wide) cultivar is a sport of H. 'Blue Angel'. The light green foliage is ovate, moderately wavy, moderately rippled and dull on top. The near-white, funnel shape flowers bloom in dense clusters from late June into July followed by viable seeds.

According to the registration materials: "...unusual color change at the margin; flower in bud is a large ball-shaped mass; floriferous...emerges as a light "minty" green; the margin of the leave becomes darker after blooming..."
