Hosta 'First Moon'

This is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the same name. Neither are currently registered with The American Hosta Society. The first one to be registered would become the "official" hosta of that name and the others would have to be renamed.

Originated by Jan van den Top of the Netherlands, this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. 'August Moon'. It is a medium size hosta with yellowish-green foliage that has a yellow marginal variegation. This large size (20 inches high by 42 inches wide) hosta has leaves that are moderately corrugated and oblong-ovate in shape with good substance. Pale lavender, funnel shaped flowers bloom from mid-July into August.

Hosta Helper will call this plant 'First Moon' (Van den Top).
