Hosta 'Franc and Ed'

Registered by Ed Schulz of Iowa in 2015, this large size (22 inches high by 40 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is intensely blue-green with foliage that is lightly corrugated, broadly ovate and has a glaucous bloom on top. Tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes up to 26 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...great substance and color..."

We suspect that Ed named this cultivar for himself and fellow Iowa hybridizer, Franc Freema.
