Hosta 'Frizzy Hair'

 

Registered by Mary Vertz of Wisconsin in 2020, this medium size (13 inches high by 25 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a medium blue-green plant with ovate leaves that are slightly rippled, slightly twisted, slightly corrugated and moderately wavy. This cultivar "..has not flowered in 10 years."

The registration materials state: "...Puckered leaves with unruly wavy margins and twisted tips remind you of frizzy hair...By August the leaves turn darker green while the edges become lighter."
