This non-registered cultivar of unidentified parentage was originated by Jeff Kerr of Iowa. It is a blue-green hosta with many characteristics of H. 'Tokudama'.

A different plant named H. 'Frostbite' has been registered by Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina. By the rules for naming hostas, that means that this plant needs to be renamed to avoid confusion.
