Hosta 'Frost Warning'

Originated by Ruby & B. Klotz of Dogtown Farms in Ohio and registered on their behalf by Registrar, Gayle Hartley Alley for The American Hosta Society in 2020, this cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a large size plant about 22 inches high by 48 inches wide with pale blue-green foliage.

The broadly ovate leaves are slightly folded, moderately wavy, heavily rippled and have a glaucous bloom on top. Near white flowers with very pale lavender center stripes on the interior of each petal bloom in July on scapes 17 to 28 inches tall. It does not set seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Rippled margins adorn the ghostly, whitish-blue leaves. This unique color fades on the edges to almost white."
