Hosta 'G.I. Joe'

Registered by Owen Purvis of Elim Hosta Gardens in Wisconsin in 2019, this upright growing, large size (26 inches high by 48 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is an olive "army" green hosta with a dark green marginal variegation. The leaves are slightly shiny on top, broadly ovate, slightly wavy and slightly folded. Near white flowers bloom in July on scapes 38 to 42 inches tall followed by viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Unique color and variegation with very good leaf substance...variegation becomes more pronounced as the season progresses."
