Hosta 'Gable's Gold'

Registered by Franc Freema of Iowa in 2011, this upright growing cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a small size plant about 10 inches  high by 18 inches wide with greenish yellow foliage. The leaves are broadly ovate, deeply flat, slightly rippled and dull on top. Bell shape flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes about 27 inches tall.

We suspect that this is named for Hall of Fame wresting coach, Dan Gable of Iowa.
